These are very strongly geared toward young children. Why? Because I have the same things to say about both. I am doing these as a common, dual review. I tried reading these to some youngsters (wanna -be padawans) and they Kept saying things like "I know that" and "I saw that in the movies." Mainly children struggling to grasp the movies and their themes.

Some of the descriptions were dark, which I think reflects the subject matter of battles and war well, but it something to keep in mind for younger readers.more Many terms were defined, which is great for a young reader. I will say though, it was geared toward a late elementary, middle school audience, but the writing was complex enough that any fan would enjoy it. It was not structured well in terms of timeline or orderliness. You could be reading about Geonosis one minute, Endor the next and Hoth after that. What bothered me, and why I did not give it five stars, was there was no chronology to it. There were also additional bits of information regarding people, weapons, and ships. The players involved were profiled, and the settings were well described. The battles themselves were broken down and analyzed, from many different angels. You could be reading about Geonosis one minute, Endor the next and Hoth after This was a great reference guide for the major battles from the Prequel and Original eras.
